Fuel Filtration and Conditioning
Designed for bulk fuel filtration, the FFC Series Family of fuel polishing / fuel filtration / fuel conditioning systems are available in a variety of process flow rates from 5 GPM to 75 GPM standard sizes. Custom fuel filtration systems are available up to 2,000 GPM. The onboard pump pulls suction on the diesel fuel tank and pumps it through a particulate filter and a filter/separator vessel and back to the tank.
Today’s ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) has much less lubricity than in the past resulting in diesel engine wear. The FFC onboard diesel fuel filter housing includes a massive amount of filtration area utilizing state of the art micro-glass filter media with available absolute efficiencies of 25, 10, 6, 3 and 1 micron. By giving you the option of going down to a 1 micron fuel filter, you are in control of our diesel fuel cleanliness level. The 10 micron fuel filter is the most common. A dirty filter light on the control panel alerts the operator when the fuel filter is dirty and needs replacing.
The second stage is a filter/separator vessel to coalesce water from fine droplets into larger ones. The water drops into the bottom of the filter housing where a sight glass shows the fuel/water interface. Once the water level reaches the water probe, a light on the control panel alerts the operator to drain the fuel filter/separator coalescing vessel.
The FFC Fuel Polishing System is ideal for diesel fuel storage tanks, diesel standby generators or any application where fuel in storage tanks may be contaminated with water and particulate matter. Continuous removal of water is critical in the prevention of bio growth, tank corrosion and sludge build up in bulk fuel storage tanks and absolutely necessary for critical back up power generation systems.
Fuel Filter Inline Service
For diesel fuel filtration inline service, we offer duplex filter assemblies to remove particulate between the storage tank and the diesel engine / diesel generator. This diesel fuel filter duplex assembly is ideal for situations where the fuel pumps cannot be shut down to replace the filters.
The diesel fuel filter housing includes a massive amount of filtration area utilizing state of the art micro-glass filter media with available absolute efficiencies of 25, 10, 6, 3 and 1 micron.
Additionally, we offer several Filter/Separator options should water removal be required in in-line service. Typically coalescing is preferred for diesel service, though water absorptive options are also available.
Fuel Transfer Filter Skid
The fuel filter transfer skid is ideal for pumping fuel while maintaining cleanliness. The onboard diesel fuel filter housing includes a massive amount of filtration area utilizing state of the art micro-glass filter media with available absolute efficiencies of 25, 10, 6, 3 and 1 micron. This system includes many options, such as hose reels, variable frequency drive (VFD), dirty filter light and filter/separator coalescing vessels. Several valve and piping options are available, such as reverse flow direction using the same hoses.
